Anne Ribes // constant source of inspiration for her outstanding work in hospitals in Paris, she advises our citizens’ initiatives.
Anne pioneered French horticultural therapy. She is our constant source of inspiration due to her remarkable work in hospitals and institutions and medical facilities, from the Hague to the Bastille.
Anne founded the group "Belles Plantes", with her husband, over 10 years ago. At the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, she manually planted a vegetable garden, and also works in child psychiatry, leading workshops on gardening , the children call her "Anne jardin”. In the gerontology department at the Louis Mourier hospital in Colombes, she created the "ageless garden", an area of 100 metres squared where each week, kindergarten children and pensioners garden together at a vegetable gardening workshop. Her idea to create "healing gardens” and to promote a more nature-oriented hospital environment is the result of a unique and exciting journey, that involved a nursing diploma and horticultural studies.
Her book "Toucher la Terre" (Medicis, 2006) is a useful handbook for those who seek to heal their body and soul in a natural way.

Sebastian Gueret // is a knowledgeable man of action with a firm grip on things - who better to explain how to hold a trowel!?
He is not only a trained gardener, but also has a degree in human resources, and has gradually become more specialised in teaching and catering for disabled members of the public. He taught technical design and gardening for ten years at the Foundation d’Auteuil.
He now seeks to develop horticultural therapy by setting up gardening workshops in both social and medical institutions. His experience in the field, in many landscaping contracting companies, on construction sites - anything from small private gardens to prestigious sites such as the Bibliotheque Nationale de France - and his expertise as a trainer for disabled workers, make him a valuable resource for the Cityculteurs network.

Cécile Halley des Fontaines // Regularly designs poetic gardens for us.
She likes to investigate landscapes from her childhood - perhaps that’s how she can design gardens with such inimitable sensitivity. She’s always looking for nature and asking questions during her quests.
Designer and architect (DPLG), Cécile was awarded first prize for her diploma at the Academy of Architecture in 1995 for her thesis on “soft architectural design,” ("l’architecture et la légèreté ").
Following classes with Jean Nouvel, the architect, she actively took part in branding the visual identity of various nature-themed brands, from Le Carré des Simples and Au nom de la Rose to Le Cèdre Rouge and Le Prince Jardinier. These brands all promote respectful attitudes towards the environment. Cécile is proud to promote these values.

Philip Howard // Sustainable landscape engineer (BSc NDCM).
His knowledge of traditional techniques, which are often overlooked in the twenty-first century gardens, is the linchpin in his use of natural regional materials as landscaping tools. Philip is a specialist in the construction and installation of sustainable systems in gardens. He attempts to reintroduce this traditional knowledge into current work methods: the use of dry stone walls, natural wood, restoration of hedges, etc.
Having worked in the United Kingdom for most of his life, Philip recently decided to move to France where he pursues research into traditional techniques and uses them has alternatives to modern methods in order to create sustainable gardens for a more harmonious environment. He believes the use of these methods improves more than simply the aesthetics of landscapes.

Vanina Schick // She gave us some of her marketing know-how to help craft the identity of the Cityculteurs.
She enjoys a global approach to her job, as she has worked for many years in both big and small advertising agencies, and is now an independent consultant. She listened carefully to our demands, and responded with the sensitivity and professionalism that her craft requires: she reflected strategically on our brand identity in order to decant a visual identity with precision and a thoughtful coherence.
